A healthy gut – helps your immune system too

More than 70% of your immune system exists in your gut and having proper gut health is key to living the abundant life. Having a strong and healthy gut and immune system play a huge role in our day to day health. There is more and more science that is linking back to learning more about the role of having a healthy microbiome. That’s why I keep coming back to the gut and talking to clients about the InForm program, and how it can help not only your gut, but many other body systems.

Did you know that the human gut is home to trillions of microorganisms, which are collectively known as the microbiome? Or that these microbes play a vital part in our gut health, supporting digestion and the synthesis of vitamins?

It may sound crazy, but right now, you have two to six pounds of microbes living in and on you. This amazing ecosystem of trillions of microbes contains bacteria and other microorganisms that are both beneficial and detrimental to your health.

Your microbiome, a community of bacteria and other microorganisms, carry out important work the body cannot do itself. While some species process dietary fiber, others synthesize essential vitamins.

Keeping your microbiome – the ecosystem of microorganisms living in and on your body – healthy, is important for good health.

More and more science is showing us how important it is to:

RESET: Get rid of the bad. Eliminate the toxic bacteria and clear the way for the good guys.

REPAIR: Build up the good bacteria with a targeted focus on gut health, restore balance, and support core metabolic functions.

REPLENISH: Maintain healthy balance and promote optimal metabolic functions by maintaining gut health.

What is an imbalanced biome?

Modern diets, stress, and environmental toxins can upset the delicate balance of our gut microbiome. How? Diets high in added sugars and carbohydrates leads to too many ‘bad’ bacteria in our microbiome, which can create toxins that make us fat. Over time, this process can develop into poor metabolic function and unwanted additional weight. These cascading effects can cause our body to operate like that of someone much older! In other words, an unhealthy microbiome can add years to our ‘metabolic age.’

With my Inform program we focus on the cause, not the symptoms of illnesses, and how to start fixing it.

The video below will give you more information about the program. We have weekly classes on Monday evenings at 6pm. Let me know if you would like more info. We would love to have you join our classes!
